Waikele real estate
Waikele was sugar cane land up until the early 1990's. Development began with townhomes and single family homes along Lumiauau Street. Subdivisions were built moving west in increments. The Waikele Shopping Center and Premium Outlets were a big hit when they opened in the mid 1990's and remain a hub of shopping activity for the region.
Waikele also has its own public golf course, Waikele Golf Club. The club features fairways meandering throughout Waikele. It also has a driving range and a great restaurant.
A public park is located on Lumiaina Street. The park features a swimming pool. Central Oahu Regional Park is just up the road on Kamehameha Highway, with tennis courts, soccer and baseball fields, a dog obedience area and another swimming pool.
